Theatre Guild
Sociedad teatral estadounidense.

Fundada en Nueva York en 1918 por Lawrence Langner (n. 1890–m. 1962) entre otros, con el propósito de producir obras no comerciales de alta calidad. Su directorio compartía la responsabilidad de seleccionar las obras, además de la administración y la producción general. Después del estreno de La casa de las penas de George Bernard Shaw en 1920, el Guild se convirtió en el agente de este en EE.UU. y llevó a escena 15 de sus piezas. También presentó exitosas obras de Eugene O'Neill, Maxwell Anderson y Robert Sherwood y famosos actores como los Lunts y Helen Hayes formaron parte del Guild. Contribuyó a desarrollar el musical estadounidense con la producción de Porgy y Bess (1935), Oklahoma! (1943) y Carousel (1945). También produjo la serie de radio Theatre Guild on the Air (1945–53) y presentó obras dramáticas para la televisión.
